Our Background and Industry Experience
The Door Industry Journal is produced on behalf of the Door and Hardware Federation (DHF) and publishes every four months in Spring, Summer and Winter (April, August and December).
Management and Partners
The publication is managed and edited in-house with public relations and technical article writing services provided by our copywriting partner Martin Sayers at MS Copy complemented by Jo Spencer from the DHF's PR agency Jo Spencer PR and many other independent writers.
Artwork and design services are provided by Freelance Design & Graphics whilst printing and mailing is done by magazine printing specialists, The Magazine Printing Company Plc based in Enfield, Middlesex - www.magprint.co.uk .
Derek Hibbart has been the editor of the publication since 1998 when he held the position, in a voluntary capacity, while serving as a committee member with the Association of Garage Door Specialists (AGDS). He has over 35 years combined frontline experience in the builders' merchant, hardware, ironmongery and garage door industries covering the wholesale, retail and franchise sectors.
Now, with nearly 18 years of issues under his belt, he is Senior Partner at Avalon Innovations LLP, of which the Door Industry Journal is a part. He shares his time between editing the magazine and advising small businesses, utilising the extensive commercial experience he gained over the years working with franchisees in the garage door industry.
